breakout sessions

Breakout sessions provide you the opportunity to choose the topics that interest you the most. In these sessions you can connect with a smaller group of women by digging into scripture together and obtaining a deeper understanding of relevant issues facing us today. Who knows, you might even make a new friend!

We gather women from our church body to lead these 40-minute sessions. There will be multiple rounds of breakout sessions on Saturday, each with different topics to choose from.

There is no special sign-up for these sessions, they are offered on a first come, first served basis. Seating will be limited in many sessions. Always have a back-up session planned in case your first choice is full when you get to the room. If there are no available seats in a session, please go to a different session.

We are in the process of finalizing our breakout session topics for the 2021 conference. Continue to check back for this year's topics.

  • Returning to the secret place

    Session Leader: Trish Ferrell

Psalm 91:1 promises us that, “He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty.” I will say to the Lord,” My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” Do you feel a  burning desire to know God more? Maybe you‘ve been going through the motions of Christianity and you’re thinking there has got to be more! Or you have already been spending time there with God, but nothing is happening. If prayer is so wonderful why do we struggle with it so much? In this session, you'll learn how to seek God with your whole heart; how to stop the things that are hindering your time with Him; as well as practical tips for setting up your "secret place".
